Team Determined returns this week after opening their season with an impressive 68-53 win over team Funky Fresh Boys. Team Determined shot 53.2 percent from the field, while connecting on 5-of-9 (56%) from beyond the arc. Three players finished with double digits for team Determined as David Suen posted a double-double to lead all scores with 29 points and 10 rebounds including an impressive 7-of-8 (88%) from the free-throw line. Fellow teammate Sam Rahimi finished with 12 points, 3 threes and 5 rebounds while Thuc Do tallied 10 points and 2 rebounds. As a team the Determined shot 44% (11-of-25) from the charity stripe while outrebounding team Funky Fresh Boys, 36-27.

As for team Raphies, they too opened their season with a win as they posted a 53-42 victory over team Drunken Ballers. The Raphies shot 42.7 percent from the field while connecting on 4-of-7 (57%) from beyond the arc. Vincent Wong had a solid performance for the  Raphies as he lead all scores posting a double-double with19 points and 15 rebounds. Fellow teammate Westin Hirai also reached the double digit mark as he finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds while Rodel Gonzalez tallied 9 points and 8 rebounds. As a team the Raphies connected on 7-of-14 (50%) from the charity stripe while dominating the glass, 47-29.
